Off To Honduras

Darlene and I are heading to Tegucigalpa. We will be spending a week with Compassion and a week on the sands of Roatan. Dar's folks are loving our kids for us here in Canmore.

Will get back to writing the book soon. If you're just joining me in this I have been posting potential thoughts towards a book and started out with it here on January 1st. I've been tossing some of these thoughts around for years... trying to say something that reaches hearts before it reaches minds... trying to bypass the usual mechanisms and move things in other places.

We've been looking forward to this trip together for a long time. Actually, we were planning on heading to Kigali, Rwanda. We were going to go from London to Paris to Rome to Athens to Africa... That will have be another time :)

Hey Kirk,

Your words are deep but i come listening with my heart, and that's where they hit. This is one of the reasons i keep coming back :-)

I'm sure you and Dar will have an incredible time in Honduras. Love on the little and big people, and love on each other. Have fun! (and take lots of photo's!!)

Blessings!

Praying for you and Dar as you go, and for your kids as they stay. Have a fantastic time. Can't wait to hear the stories and see the pictures.

Wow, what an adventure! I'll be praying for many divine appointments. We too sponsor a child (in Brazil) through Compassion, and one day would like to visit him...

Look forward to seeing the photos on your blog :)

Ola from Roatan. Wonderful stories to share sometime about Compassion's work in Honduras. For now Dar and I are enjoying the sun and sand on west beach.

Well, this is costing 4 limpiras a minute so I better let Dar check her mail :)

Finished Brueggemann's "Israel's Praise" this a.m. on the beach.

Dar took me zip-lining through the rainforest - amazing! 12-16 (lost count) runs down through giant trees... then had some friendly little spider monkeys climbing all over us.

Got some great pics.

Ola for now!

Ok, we're back to the freezing north... I'll publish pics at Flickr sometime later. So many great stories to tell.
