Ha Ling, Grassi, Rainbows, Dance & Oilers

On Saturday I hiked Ha Ling with my friends Arnie and Johnny.
This isn't them.

Arnie's the "mature" looking one. You decide.

At the peak we fed a chipmunk cashews. Canmore reservoir top left.

Ten second timer on the camera.
I nearly ran off the mountain to get in.

John had a cool little tripod for the camera.
Mount Lawrence Grassi behind.

View of Ha Ling peak from the lower eastern ridge.

Looking West. Goat Creek Trail runs through to Banff.
East Rundle unseen on Right.

Yesterday, Luke was excited to hike with Dad at Grassi Lake.

Luke took this shot of the lake...

...and this one of a sqirrel who stopped to pose for Luke.

Luke scrambled into some caves.

He wanted a flashlight for this one.

With this magic wand I was turned into ice, a cat, a mouse,
...and even invisible. I will never be the same again.

After getting home we were treated to this double rainbow.

I like this one with Nate - the little iconic cherub.

Bree backstage just before her big dance recital last week.

And tonight... the Oilers left it all on the ice. Great game seven in a great series boys. Dar and the kids are happy that hockey is finally over for a few months. I'm a die hard Leafs fan who has died a thousand deaths. I'll be outside in the sun until training camp :)

Hmm..some very nice pics indeed. Kind of expands your concept of the glory, power and majesty of God doesnt it?? I grew up in Calgary so I do miss the mountains.

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Very timely - just a couple of days ago, Karen went out to her car after being parked at a parking space in Gibsons. She looked at the hood of the car, and saw a handful of grains. Upon closer inspection, she saw they were grains of wheat. She looked on the other vehicles parked around, and no one else had this on their cars, neither was there any on the ground. Well, to make a long story short, we have been believing God for a harvest of souls in Gibsons for awhile now. Words, dreams, visions have all been given by different individuals to that end. So, Karen, our Pastor Jack and myself, went and took the grains of wheat and planted them down by the marina in Gibsons main park. (Gibsons is called the gateway to the Sunshine Coast, and we can still see the the ark of the Lord coming through the gates)We have had a minor setback this past week, but we are determined more than ever to enter the Promised Land, and press in to all that God has for us and for this coast. Thanks for your encouraging prophetic word. It was more meaningful that you may realize! The scripture Zechariah 8:12 is a promise we're going to hang onto..I have shared this with Pastor Jack and Karen.
By the way, you left a comment "hmmm" on my posting about the keys..any particular reason for that?? Just curious.

Job 22:21-30 (New International Version)

21 "Submit to God and be at peace with him;
in this way prosperity will come to you.

22 Accept instruction from his mouth
and lay up his words in your heart.

23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored:
If you remove wickedness far from your tent

24 and assign your nuggets to the dust,
your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines,

25 then the Almighty will be your gold,
the choicest silver for you.

26 Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty
and will lift up your face to God.

27 You will pray to him, and he will hear you,
and you will fulfill your vows.

28 What you decide on will be done,
and light will shine on your ways.

29 When men are brought low and you say, 'Lift them up!'
then he will save the downcast.

30 He will deliver even one who is not innocent,
who will be delivered through the cleanness of your hands."
